Current Studies. We currently have over 50 Clinical Research Studies for various ocular conditions and diseases. If you or someone you love have any of these conditions, or an indiagnosed eye issue, call us at 814-200-9152. A sampling of our studies is below:

Wet AMD

Wet Age-Related Macular Degeneration (Wet AMD): An eye disease where abnormal blood vessels grow under the retina, leaking fluid or blood, leading to rapid central vision loss.

Dry AMD

Dry Age-Related Macular Degeneration (Dry AMD): A common eye condition where the central part of the retina thins over time, causing gradual central vision loss.

Diabetic Retinopathy

A complication of diabetes where high blood sugar damages blood vessels in the retina, leading to vision issues.

Uveitis

Inflammation of the uvea, the middle layer of the eye, causing symptoms like eye pain, redness, blurred vision, and light sensitivity.

Thyroid Eye Disease

An autoimmune condition where swelling and inflammation affect the muscles and tissues around the eyes, leading to symptoms like bulging eyes, redness, and discomfort.

Geographic Atrophy

An advanced form of age-related macular degeneration where retinal cells break down, causing vision loss.

Corneal Epitheliopathy

Damage to the outermost layer of the cornea, causing pain, redness, and blurred vision.

Stargardt Disease

A genetic disorder causing progressive vision loss due to the breakdown of light-sensitive cells in the retina.

Retinitis Pigmentosa

A group of inherited disorders causing gradual vision loss due to the degeneration of the retina’s photoreceptor cells.

Posterior Ocular Inflammation

Swelling and irritation in the back part of the eye, affecting the retina and choroid, and causing vision disturbances.

Macular Edema

Swelling of the central retina due to fluid buildup, causing blurred or wavy vision.

Glaucoma

A group of eye diseases that damage the optic nerve, often due to high eye pressure, leading to vision loss.
